Scented Rhododendrons Lecture Friday 1st May 2026

Charles Williams will guide you on a walk and talk around the gardens.

There are about 650 species of rhododendrons growing in temperate climates, the lecture will focus on just a few of them. They are all later flowering, suitable for smaller gardens because they do not grow very tall, and very deeply scented because the rely on insects for pollination and these insects can only thrive in late spring or early summer.

Coffee/tea served on arrival.
